Implementation Support Services

Client Assigned DFT Instructors

JCIT 2 Consulting

JCIT 2 offers a complete selection of consulting services.  Consulting is offered on-site or digitally through videoconferencing.  Consulting may be an expansion of an existing program, or for any DFT topic requested by the client.

Supporting the implementation steps as defined in the DFT training, are typical consulting activities.  On-site consulting for the initial line selections or recommendations are valuable consulting activities. Insuring the initial pilot programs are focused to the best product, line, and plant, are also important activities deserving of the consulting experience.

Walking through a Process Map or a Sequence of Events are examples of activities that can easily be handled by Digital consulting.

JCIT 2 Master Plan

DFT implementation programs are tailored to a client’s site.  These programs are broken into specific steps, starting with a Master Plan for the site and ending with certification of the target plant or line. In between, each phase has the steps and checklist required to implement DFT.  As a team member, JCIT2 will co-lead the implementation and review the completion of work at each phase.  Reviews are conducted via videoconferencing.

Implementation programs are a good foundation for initial pilot programs and help to kick-off a plant transformation.  The overall objective should be to transfer the implementation leadership and tools from JCIT 2, to the client’s plants and support teams.

JCIT 2 Implementation Program

A five-phase Implementation Program has been developed to satisfy the business requirements for the implementation of DFT.  This comprehensive program will support an aggressive, yet controlled implementation into all areas of the business.  Each phase involves specific milestones and objectives that are a prerequisite to the phases following.  Each phase involves multiple organizations and simply integrates into the implementation objectives as defined in the steering committee’s Master Plan.

As different manufacturing product lines are targeted for implementation, initial implementation phases will be completed.  There will be an initial area of the factory targeted for implementation activity, which will normally be an area close to the final product and customer demand.  As this area is implemented and brought live, support processes will become the next area for transformation.  The resource requirements for the initial targeted area to be implemented will be greater than the support areas that follow.  The factory team will become more experienced and self-sufficient as the implementation proceeds.  As organization milestones are developed and achieved, they will be used as models for all future implementation program phases.
